Spooky Season is Upon Us, Let’s Get Creeped Out!
As summer comes to an end, the ghosts and ghouls that lurk in the night take flight. Tapping at your window and watching you from the shadows. With temps cooling and days growing shorter, pass the time from twilight until dawn with scary and spooky stories. Now’s the perfect time to fill your podcast library with terrifying tales of ghosts and beasts.
Here are a few of our favorite creepy shows. Podcasts that are sure to send a shiver up your spine and a second glance over your shoulder. Was that sound really the house settling or a ghost from centuries past walking the hall. It may just be a pile of clothes in the corner of your room, or then again, it might be a demon watching you from just inside our realm. Our favorite spooky podcasts are just what you need for the scariest haunting season ever.

# 1: Two Girls One Ghost
If you want two hostesses that you long to grab drinks with, a haunting podcast ghost, and lots of laughs…. Corinne and Sabrina are your weekly dose of spooky that you didn’t know you needed. But WARNING: you may find yourself talking aloud to the hostesses causing strange looks from other people on the walking path (just saying for, um, a friend).
# 2: Ghosty Girls
Anna and Jess are two amazing besties who decided to unite their love for the paranormal with their spiritual gifts into a must listen to a podcast. Our favorite episode is Superstition, where the girls talk about mirrors, black cats, and some other creepy superstitions. If you’re looking for a couple of new spooky gals to add to your crew, give Jess and Anna a listen.
# 3: Ghost in the Burbs
Some crazy creepy things are happening in Wesley, MA. Don’t worry, Liz is getting to the bottom of it. If you’re looking for some scary tales with a side of suburbia… you’ve come to the right place.
# 4: Scared to Death
This podcast has a scare to meet all your spooky listening needs. Doppelgängers, demoing possessions, black eyed kids, shadow figures, poltergeist, and so many other hair-raising topics are covered in new episodes every Wednesday. Pru’s favorite episode is, Demons of Dewitt Ranch, because of it she will likely never housesit again.
# 5: I Have a Strange Story
Join two sisters as they explore stories of all things paranormal. Some of their haunting stories come directly from their listeners. They have a pretty extensive back catalog of episodes to binge, but if you want to kick the spooky listening off somewhere other than the start of finish… might we suggest episode 86 Staircases in the Woods and Selkies. We had no idea, so many mysterious staircases existed under the cover of tree canopies.
# 6: This Paranormal Life
If it’s Tuesday, it’s time to join Kit and Rory for a new investigation into everything from Balleyboley Forest to the New England Vampire Pandemic. If you end up loving this podcast as much as we do, you’ll be jazzed to find over 175 episodes to keep you creeped out through the longest work shift of road trip. Have you ever met a ghost magnet? One of those open people who attract paranormal activity to themselves easily and sometimes unknowingly. If you’ve ever wanted to chat with people who attract ghosts and other entities to them, you’ve come to the right podcast. Celebrity paranormal investigator Bridget Marquardt talks with so-called ghost magnets to learn their story and the story of the entities that haunt them.
# 8: Sinisterhood
If you like true crime, celebrity mystery’s like the death of Brittney Murphy, ghosts, and treasure…Christie and Heather are sure to have exactly what you never new you were looking for. The Sinisterhood podcast will cause you to laugh out loud while also wondering what other sinister things are happening underneath your nose. We loved Episode 62: The Canada Road Trip Murders.

Over 120 episodes are waiting for you to binge in the A Paranormal Chicks back catalog. These amazing storytellers love everything creepy and share that with you in their new episode each week. One of our favorite episodes is Episode 116: The Bennington Triangle and Brandon Teena (you may remember Teena’s story from the 1999 movie Boy’s Don’t Cry starring Hilary Swank). I may have cried during this episode.
# 12: Camp Monsters
Just in time for the start of season 2! If you love tales of cryptids and fantastical beasts as much as we do, Camp Monsters is the one. Their legends dive into everything from the Slide Rock Bolter and Ozark Howler to the Snallygaster and the Loveland Frogman. What lurks in the dark just outside of view? Listen to find out.

Mirrors is one of those podcasts that you have to start from the beginning. Warning: You’ll quickly get sucked into the story, resulting in taking a long way home to finish an episode before feeding hungry humans in your house.
